26. Flying Dreams

Flying Dreams

Am I a poet and don’t know it? Finding out about Ink Brick, the comics poetry site and print magazine, has got me wondering. I’m not only interested in submitting to them, but I’m thinking in terms of my next comic, Pause and Reflect.

I’ll be posting more about this comic, which is still very much in the works, but I’m thinking it will be a series of smaller comics that will eventually be collected in book form.

I’m not in any rush, however. Soon I’ll be traveling up to the Barre Center for Buddhist Studies to take two back-to-back courses. The latter one is “Dharma and Art.” This is a course that originated from a symposium held in 2016. The author, Ruth Ozeki, who wrote A Tale for the Time Being, spoke at that initial course and I’m sorry I missed her. It’s a great book!

This is the first of two residential retreats for the course. The second will be next January. In between, the course will be online. Should be interesting!
